I honestly have always wondered why Anberlin (and Emery for that matter) are not huge “radio rock” bands. They write super good,catchy pop/rock songs and I think they deserve a lot more recognition. Well they are getting ready to release their new album entitled “New Surrender” and are asking you to request the single, “Feel Good Drag”. HERE is a list of radio stations they need help with.

My other project is a collaboration with a friend of mine from Florida. It’s a service for buying original lyrics for your music. It’s just about done. I just have to finish up uploading all the lyrics. We currently have a few hundred lyrics available and will continue to grow. Anyone can submit their lyrics and set a selling price for them. Just finishing up a new website for a children’s music group called The Alpha Blasters. This was a lot of fun and I learned new things. This was my first site using all CSS coding. No tables. Css is wonderful, but when it comes to positioning for all resolutions, it can be very frustrating! I think this site came out really good overall. I went for more of an amateurish/childish look to the whole thing. If you have young kids, definitely check them out. They did an awesome job on their new cd! View the site HERE.

Now I have to be honest, I STILL do not have cable internet since I moved here. Soon enough though. One of the many reasons that I can’t take my slow dsl connection is for THIS: HULU. The new(ish) video service site brought to you by NBC Universal and News Corp. This thing is awesome! Movie and Tv Show content from over 50 different providers! All Free and LEGAL! No downloading anything. We’re talking The A-Team, Hitchcock,Saturday Night Live,Jackass,Burn Notice,E3 Coverage,Prison Break,Rescue Me etc etc. The list goes on. All Free!

I really wanted to like Fabrice’s Calvaire,(The Ordeal in U.S.) but I just couldn’t. It certainly is not a bad film at all though. It had alot of good atmospheric and stylistic shots throughout. I really liked the whole look and feel of the end of it. There is something here he can work on for sure. I think he is capable of a really good movie and we will have to see if Vinyan will be just that. Head over to Premier France to see a trailer. Its hard to say….. Here is a synopsis: Unable to accept the the loss of their son in the 2005 Tsunami, Jeanne and Paul Bellmer have remained in Phuket. I am a HUGE fan of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. I couldn’t put it down. I don’t know why, but next to revenge movies, my favorites are “end of the world”, “last person on earth” type films. So this story was right up my alley. The whole time reading it, I was thinking that this would make a perfect movie. Not too long afterwards, I found out that it was being made and even partially filmed in this general area!(Mt St. Helens) John Hillcoat(The Proposition) is the director and stars Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron. A few stills have been released over at USAToday. Head over there to check them out. Its looking great so far.

Have you seen this yet? A new search engine called CUIL(COOL). It is boasting more search results than google even. Search results are layed out differently than you might be used to. It has alot of tools to refine your searches. I’m liking it so far. Check it out HERE.

I finally decided to take a break from the projects I am currently working on, and install the full wordpress onto my server. Loving this! I cannot believe how EASY it was to get up and running.
